Jr Admissions Officer

ROLE SUMMARY

The Jr Admissions Officer supports the Admissions Officer who is based out of the University campus. The Jr. Admission Officer is responsible for creating the student profile on the Student Database. They will review documents submitted by students and reach out to students to obtain missing/correct documents. They will send appropriate letters to the student regarding Application Fee Instructions, Conditional/Unconditional Offer Letters etc.

They will require a thorough understanding of relevant systems/processes, GUS product or of the working environment. Independence and initiative will be required to react to changing priorities and work circumstances, with scope to make decisions within clear parameters. They will typically set and monitor standards within their own work area, with scope for improving operational effectiveness and quality service through the application of process improvement. Role holders will strive to achieve set targets, organise their own day-to-day work to meet clear objectives.

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out admission process for new students
  • Review student documents including photo ID and educational documents
  • Accurately and efficiently enters student information into student data base
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Manage admissions process for multiple brands
  • Make outbound calls to students/clients when required

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications/Education
  • Graduation in any field
  • A relevant sales qualification
Knowledge/Skills
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills to include professional credibility, relationship building, and influencing – ‘customer comes first’
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Ability to maintain and work on database
  • Analysis and decision-making skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and a high level of confidence
  • Ability to multitask in a busy, highly pressured and fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • An understanding of Higher / Further education and an interest in working in the education sector
Experience
  • 2yrs work experience
  • Worked with confidential client data
  • Has worked on Admissions process earlier
  • Experience reviewing customer documents such as Visa, educational documents, etc

The post holder may be asked to undertake different or additional duties in line with business requirements at the request of their line manager.
